Taylah who?
and she did what?
Taylah Cate is a Producer, Director and Writer who cares deeply about the world and the power of cinema. With her production company Taylah Made Films, she champions brave, character-driven narratives that challenge audiences and often use the past to examine the present.
She recently co-produced acclaimed short “Blood Sisters”, which has screened at prestigious festivals including SXSW Sydney, St Kilda Film Festival, Brisbane International Film Festival and won the Audience Choice award at Final Girls Film Festival in Berlin.
Her directorial efforts, brimming with whimsy, yearning and femininity, include “Goodbye, Spy” - which premiered at Brisbane International Film Festival - and “Naked” (a Top 35 Tropfest Finalist).
Her experience spans all areas of the industry, including work in development for Radioactive Pictures, production office roles on features & television, and in post-production at 3P Studio. Recent credits including: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2026), Mortal Kombat II (2026), Zombie Plane (2026), He Loves Me Not (2024), Rippy (2024) and My Kitchen Rules (2024).
As a child, Taylah spent hours choosing rentals at her local Blockbuster, writing and performing school plays, and casting her friends in homemade films. Not much has changed, except now the stage is bigger.
